In Waiting for Godot, Vladimir and Estragon wait with bated breath for Godot, who never actually arrives. While they wait, they engage in philosophical discussions about the future and the meaning of life. One can't help but draw a parallel between Godot (much anticipated range breakout), the intellectual Vladimir (macro strategists), and the practical Estragon (technicians).
Although Godot was a "no-show", we do expect an eventual resolution. . .
